Public and Legal Notices

Public and Legal Notices take up four pages of the New York Observer. I wonder who pays for them, and how much money the Observer would make if it sold the space as full page display ads.

Thank goodness Microsoft doesn't do this to MS Office on holidays.

The cartoon on the search page is cute, but I can't fathom why Google would change colors on the docs interface for Valentine's Day. I hope this isn't a trend.

Valentine's Day, streetside

This was out by the a peddler selling roses on the cheap by Lexington Avenue. I am assuming that during the rest of the 365 he sells umbrellas when it rains.

Amazon Still Thinks I Spend My Time Reading Latin.

I mentioned this in a previous post. I bought a Latin textbook and an Aristotle textbook from Amazon.com during my freshman year in college. Six years later, Amazon is still sending me recommendations. I am amazed that nothing trips in the Amazon system that tells it-- this user has not ordered anything from us related to this in X years, Y are we still sending him e-mails based on this info.
